Eminent Paper mill commenced production of kraft paper with 200 TPD installed capacity

Increasing demand for recycled paper bags, boxes, and cartons over polyethylene for carrying and packaging products at supermarkets and malls such as food products is expected to open up a range of lucrative opportunities for growth of companies operating in the market.

“Paper industry is going through a transformation phase and now uses less power and water owing to technological changes. Cost of production of recycled paper is at least 30 to 40% cheaper depending upon the location than the recycled plastic,” Said, Mr. Kanishka Agarwal, Partner at newly started paper mill Eminent Paper Industries LLP.

Eminent Paper Industries LLP is kraft paper manufacturing plant based at Kosamba, Surat. With a production capacity of 200 tons per day, “our target is to manufacture high-grade kraft paper used for packaging in various verticals such as FMCG, automobiles, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, food industry, e-commerce, heavy industrial packaging, retail sector in the local as well as export markets,” Mr. Agarwal said.

Eminent Paper Industries already started the paper production two months back, “We have invested INR approx. 50 Cr for the achieving the good paper quality and we are selling our paper in Gujarat and Maharashtra region” Mr. Agarwal informed.

Eminent Paper is operating now at 160 TPD paper productions and manufacturing 120 to 280 GSM paper with 18 to 28 BF. Mr. Agarwal said that our plant is spread across 43,000 sq. meters of land which provides us with ample space to carry out the various functions and there is plenty of scope for expansion in the future.

Understanding the need of the hour to protect our environment Eminent Paper has adopted a holistic eco-friendly approach in all aspects of its manufacturing process keeping in mind the government’s initiative to promote the use of renewable sources of energy and recycling of material. The very ethos of its functioning lies in the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle.

New Paper mill has a double wire machine supplied by Micro Fab Industries, “We have bought the machine from Micro Fab Industries and they have also done the framing of machine for us. Pulp Mill section has been procured from Parason Machinery while some dryers were purchased from China” he said.

In order to improve product quality and have better cost viability along with keeping our eco-friendly approach in mind Eminent paper have installed the following:

• High Consistency Disc Filter – for better fiber recovery and thickening of pulp, better mat formation and filtration efficiency, helps to improve product quality, recover fine solids, reduce freshwater consumption, save heat energy by closing water circuits
• Turbine – 1 MW multi-stage back pressure turbine producing 850 KW for energy co-creation.
• Solar energy – using a renewable source of energy not only reduces our carbon footprint but will prove to be more cost effective in the long run.
The deckle of machine is 4 meter (finished).

Eminent Paper is also planning to export paper to various countries, “we are receiving very good inquiries for export, but we are in the process of fulfilling some export compliances and soon we will embark upon the export orders. Our close proximity of 70 km from the Hazira port and our previous experience with import-export provides us with a strategically benefit with regards to import of raw material and export of finished product” Mr. Agarwal said.
